A Girl Who Lost Hope

She could not suppress her anger and pain
Too sick and tired of living in vain
So she picked up a paperclip, tiny and thin
And dragged it across her fragile skin
She promised she'd never repeat what she'd done
Though her terrible habit had already begun
She would draw blood again and again
Fighting a battle she thought she could win
The cuts got deeper. and harder to hide
So she forgot her wrists, and cut on her thighs
She knew this secret would have to be shared
But soon she found out that nobody cares
That night she went home and made a noose with a rope
That is the story of a girl who lost hope
