Just You and Me

If I could only remember that it
was you and me. Just you and me. Just
you and me. I'd be happy, I believe.
Not for one second, (because even one
second of happiness is long to me) or a
minute. No it'd be much longer then
that. Much longer. For being with you
brings me much joy. Much rain, much love.
And the sun when I wake. You are it.
Chase me in the rain, through fireflies in my back yard,
dance with me under moonlit sky.
Oh how we could go back to those days.
How I wish we could. For I would
drop the Veil as long as it took for
it to be just you and me all over again.
