The Day Love Walked Away

I cant take it any more.
This poem I am venting.
I cant stop thinking about him,
My head, a condo he is renting.

The last time I saw him,
Was the last day of school.
Our group met up,
It was pretty darn cool.

We went to the park,
And had plenty of fun.
And my mind was clear,
With me he was done.

My heart was full with agony,
I was prepping for the goodbye.
Even though we had hours left,
I was already about to cry.

But he came over to me,
And smiled a devilish grin,
Pulled up a water ballon,
A war was about to begin.

Although there was no teams,
As he could already see,
But that didnt really matter,
He had his eyes set on me.

My bestfriend smiled at us,
And tried to sneak a photo,
I didnt care, I was with him,
No matter we we'd go.

Then to dry off,
We both went to the swings,
But a variants of the swing set,
Had some unusual things.

Some of them were flipped up,
So they were out of reach,
There was only two available,
The rest had a barrier that I couldnt breach.

So I tried to get on one of them,
But it was to high,
So he helped me up,
Cause hes just that kind of guy.

I realized it was to high to swing,
But then he started to push me,
I was giddy, it was fun!
I even started to squee!

I soon saw Ceneida,
Watching us from across the park,
Snapping pictures like a maniac,
Along with my other friend, whom we called 'Shark'

I also noticed,
The swing came to a stop,
Instead of asking to get on,
Onto my lap he'd already hop.

We started laughing,
And people started to stare,
They just looked in awe.
But we didnt care.

We were used to it,
Even though we broke up long ago,
We were still always together,
Involuntary showed our love, everywhere we go.

When we said goodbye that day,
I felt my heart sink,
But he hugged me when we were alone,
And gave a little wink.

Because he whispered in my ear,
Like we always do,
Said the only thing we say secretly to each other,
"I Love You"

I wsaid it to, and he walked to the station,
And what else could I say?
Because yet again my knight in shining armor,
Had just walked away.
