Music I Don't Understand

Why do like kpop when you don't understand it?
My aunt asked me this the other day
I said I didn't know
But maybe I do

Maybe I like it because I cant understand it
Because music is universal
Because I understand it better than I understand myself

Music helps me forget myself
I dive into it
And absorb as much as I can so i don't have a reason to resurface
So I drown in korean names I don't understand
I learn what words mean and what the idols are like until I can't think of anything else

Maybe if I start understanding,
I can start to understand myself
