Faery Hearts and Unforgotten Notes

I am from pictures and past moments decently placed above the omitted fireplace,
Candles with sweet scents that slowly dance around the room,
A majestic grandfather clock, whoes voice has been lost to time.

Driftwood gathering dust over the long days,
Fresh flowers from Nature's own cherished hands.

I am from ancient wind chimes singing melodies, while leaves glide to the damp earth,
A twisted and gnarled loquat tree, where stranded feathers rest below,
An orange cat sprawled out on the ground, ears sharp and alert.

A hidden patio in the corner; an excavation site,
Lonely petals fallen and scattered beside bushes.
Faery hearts and sugar thrown along broken and cracked bricks.

I am from ancient forest trees, breathing their last breaths,
Pit bulls barking at the common people passing by,
Dead Man's Curve, where many have stumbled.

Soccer games held at the park on the weekend; the excitement drifting through my window,
Owls flying through the night skies, screeches breaking the light air.

I am from Grandpa Wally's stern, strict orders,
His aged language unknown to us.
Music played on tapes, and swift dances from the past.

Grandma Joy's pastries spread out on the stove,
Roosters lining the mantle, with foreign antiques in the China Cabinet.
Her nicknames given to me- Talula and Tootsa Belle.

I am from “Gesundheit,”
“Mother Goose” and “Get your backpack off the table.”

“Isn't this nice?”
“Ah, der verrdammte schweinehund,”
and “Sie wissen besser als die.”

I am from kielbasa, along with Norwegian Eggs,
and cut up potatoes in the mornings.
Hamburger gravy and mash potatoes, or goolash for dinner.
Traditional Lefse, fresh fruit, and sliced fish when the family gathers together.

Memories and unwanted thoughts lay among books in my bookshelf,
Unforgotten notes on line paper from many years before.

I had to write this for school, describing my home and family. This notably sums up the main stuff.
