Carousel

Oh, dreaded Carousel
It is you that I fear,
You present your dark array of animals
And I still do not wish to come near.

You cursed, rotted animals of ply
Oh, how I wish they would burn and die!
Your music, eerie and foreboding,
Through time, it starts skipping and slowing.

Your bright, twinkling lights
Do not fool my eye,
The disguise you put on
Doesn't present a believable lie.

I can see clearly through your ways
I will not be fooled, even to this day.
Yet you are a persistent kind
Always wanting to taunt my mind.

Oh why, Carousel, must you torment my soul?
Driving in it, an endless hole.
When you will stop, I cannot tell,
Maybe when I die
So you can drag me down to Hell.
