A Star's Lonely Story

Star, your story
So sad and lonely,
Your light
So dim and weak.
From Earth we can only imagine
Your home
So far and bleak.

It must be dull
Sitting up there
In the vast, open space.
Your world pulled
Only by Gravity
That we can barely trace.

If we could
We would,
So hear me out,
Send someone up there.
To keep you company
From your lonely
Life up in the air.

But know this, dear Star,
You are not forgotten...
Even if you die,
We are always watching.
And we don't plan on stopping.
