A lot of people ask me why I keep the blades when I'm trying to stop
The answer is simple
You see, self-harm isn't like a normal addiction
With other addictions, if it's there you do it more
If it's not, you try to find it

With self-harm, it's all about being in control of something
So if it's there, then most of the time you don't do it
but you're safe knowing that if you really want/need to you can 'cause it's there
But if it's not there, then you feel as if you are being controlled,
and you feel the need to do it more

So you find more objects to cut, burn, scrape, puncture yourself with
so that you're in control and then you harm yourself to prove to others even more so

So with self-harm you need to have what you're addicted to in order to recover
Because with it you feel in control
Something you haven't had or felt for some time now
