I Had to Laugh

It made me laugh
I thought I saw a Giraffe

It was the correct shape
But the colors were all wrong

Instead of Yellow plaid
There were colors from a ‘Beatles, Song

and more to the point
Giraffe was sitting
In my Studio
On my window sill
Still... I had assumed it was real

I have to laugh at my getting old
Seeing foolish things
That are not here or there

Yet at the very least
Giraffe, made my boring day
Otherwise.
