What's the point of smiling,
When you've faked it for so long.
Smiling through the pain
As you listen to that song.

What's the point of listening,
When you've given everyone your advice.
They put all your words aside,
You're finally tired of being nice.

What's the point of promises,
When nobody seems to keep them,?
When you were promised the flower,
But only received the stem.

What's the point of trusting,
When everyone likes to lie.
Trusting things you shouldn't
When you smile instead of cry.

What's the point of breathing,
Just take another dose.
