Dying Flames
There was once a time when I thought the world of you,
Which to me was something very new.
I could see a life from after years,
Which for the longest time I kept near and dear.
Though we had our rough patches nothing could tear us apart,
But yet something so simple left its scarring mark.
The respect I once knew from you,
Has disappeared from out of the blue.
The emotional punches you threw I remember,
They've scarred my mind since that early December.
The gentle caress I once knew,
Burns this skin that you once overthrew.
No care I see in your heart anymore,
It's killing my heart till there is no more.
My love is dead to me and as my heart burns,
I know that he must never to return.
