Joey Smokes

Joey smokes to fill his lungs with the bonfirefighting days of yore
And I’m not quite sure what is the problem.
He likes to think he’s being interesting, but that’s clearly not the case.
He’s a nuclear bomb, a regular Chernobyl meltdown
The skeletons, they are the same.
You old school genius, you wild man, you can’t let me down this time.
Doesn’t have a reason, just some rhyme.

“I get depressed when I think about my past,” he says.
“And I wanna die when I think about my future.”
Well I guess that’s why he turned around and treats the present like a present
Joey smoked, but that’s up in smoke.

I'm starting to post other songs I've written partly for Plaster Caster and partly for myself, and these songs don't appear within the confines of the series itself. They get written after the events of "Lukey Kid," as they move further through high school and release more music. This song itself is a little ditty about their manager and Brendan's brother, Joey, and I feel like it's a nice snippet into what Soria thinks of him.
