Life Lessons

Intelligence is a gift teachers bestow,
Common courtesy and manners from your parents.
Humor is learned on your own.
But these don't influence the judgement of society these days.
It's said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But what if no-one ever beholds?
Who would care if you died?
Would I?
Because in the end,
No matter how funny, intelligent, nice or polite you are;
Any person that isn't truly a loved one,
Wouldn't care if you were standing on the roof of a building,
Threatening to end it all.
Because society doesn't notice us,
Unless you're pretty,
Or dead.

I wrote this a long time ago, and it's one of my worst poems. I just really want to fill my page with anything to read.
