Society's Flowers

You wear tank tops and high hills.
I wear band shirts and converse.

You go after the boys.
I'd rather just stay to myself.

You have tons of friends.
I only have five.

You have more than me in that aspect, but don't ever think for a second that you're above me.

You fake the smile, but refuse to break.
I break everyday, but I'm still happier than you'll ever be.

While you're worrying about your reputation and popularity you're forgetting the important thing.

I'm worried about my set of mind and who I am as a person. Not which boy I'd like to date next.

You think you're a flower but all I see is a desperate little seed.

I'm just a leaf or a weed but I've grown and now I fly free with the wind.

You're just worried about yourself and you have no remorse for other people's feelings.

But guess what?

In reality we're all selfish people. They say that greed and want for perfection are taught but I think that it is an instinct.

It's not what you were taught. It was what you taught yourself, but it's your job to stop being conceded and start caring more about your self worth and the people who haven't given up on you.
