Growing Up

What does it mean to grow up?
To grow taller with pimples?
To dive deep down into the depths of the ocean and hear a voice recognized not as your own, heavier The airiness of a ballon left in the past
Yet that describes an image with many paint jobs
To grow up is to look into a mirror and see someone you once knew
Except you have fought more battles
Learned and accepted more of reality
You know the taste of a mistake
You have digested the rotten deeds you have done
And out come a truly evolved soul
Able to encounter change with a grin
Forgive themselves and others for their sins
Accept that life can't be perfect
For imperfection is beautiful
it is what brings us all together as one
And when your life is over, you can truly say that it was well done
