Candy Rainbow

Candy Rainbow, over my head
Where does your sweet trail end?
O'er the mountain's sugar snow caps
Above the minty forests, green
Past the crystal waters,
Reaching from the cotton candy clouds
To the lemon drop sun.

You can sometimes be seen at night
Through the darkness, you bring light
From the silver moon, and to the dim lit stars
No one can see your endless might.

Someday I wish to walk your trail
And what will I see there?
A pot of gold?
Endless Wealth?
A Fountain of Youth?
Or fruits that brings eternal good health?
Maybe at the end,
I'll find a gate
Of a fantasy land of candy
Where it's sweet wonders await.

If that is true
Then I'll make haste
Time is nothing I should waste,
For if I were to wait to long
Your trail would fade; it's gone.
Then I'll wait another day
And when you're back again
I'll walk your trail, and there will await
Your wondrous Candy Land.
