Neglect

Left in the shadows,
Fear of the dark,
Once a friend,
Now left in the dark,
I was there for you,
Obviously it wasn't enough,
You left me in the dark,
No light,
No love,
Just neglect.

I had made mistakes,
Who hasn't?
Now you leave me,
To rot in hell,
Scars of my heart,
My soul,
Reopen,
Only feeling the loneliness,
Neglected,
Like an unwanted toy.

Yes I may have issues,
Mental health,
Especially depression,
I can't deal with stress,
Unable to keep hold of anything.

I was honest from the start,
I said I would be hard,
Still you persisted being there,
To now only leaving me in the shadows,
Neglected,
Alone once more.
