Hazelnut

I hope, with my pure beating heart
That when our days are short
And we are miles apart
When the snow has fallen
And the cold sets in
While the wind begins to whisper
That a memory of us begins to ascend.

I hope a smile appears as you remember the sips
You inhaled my feelings of warmth
Taking in my soft hazelnut laced lips
Our fingers perfectly intertwined as days passed away
We transcended time and space
Only you and I were alive, then
"I loved you first," you'd always say.

I hope the memory is naturally sweet
Like the taste of my lips
As we cuddled beneath the warm cotton sheets
My nails glide up your spine;
Bringing chills to your pearly skin
Puffs of bliss escaped our mouths
Such euphoria cannot be defined.

I don't know what really to say. I just have an odd feeling about this poem. Been holding it hostage in my notebook... don't know why I'm posting it now. Funny how this is the one flavor I want to be remembered by... and my boyfriend hates hazelnut.
