Sleeping Beauty

I can feel you next to me.

Warmth radiates from your sleeping form.

And I can’t help but smile

At the small snores and sighs you emit.

Your eyelids flicker as you dream

And I wonder what it is

You conjure in that beautiful mind each night.

You amaze me.

Your lips slightly parted,

Breathing softly, slowly.

Your arm tossed carelessly around my waist.

I wonder what it is that makes you hold me tighter

While you sleep.
