Neptune's Blue Dominion

Beyond our prayers is what we’re told not to feel
Beyond each religion; a metaphorical spiel
Equally as gallant, most too numb to grasp it

Horrified by free thought
Because you aught to believe
Everything your parents have taught
Wrap yourself in a bubble
Dictated by a foreign Channel 0
Remember son;
No money always equals trouble

Working so hard to be some one we’re not
When did our spirits lose out to that potent pot?
Co-operate like a watch or rot

Throw out your daily context and routine
Delve deep into Neptune’s blue domain
Be warned of the coquettish realm of Pluto
It flows inland from Amphitrite’s womb-kakakucho

Swim from all facile certainties
Drop the ego’s apparent urgencies
FIGHT, delve, DEEP, deeper
Conquer the river of the dead, DEFEAT IT!

Now beware of the fire breathing typhoeus
Don’t run away, did the gods of Olympus

He’s only hungry for your remaining ego
Just give it up, set that Pineal gland aglow
Fight, SLAY, Deep, DEEPER
Conquer typhoeus, be a believer

At the gates of Neptune’s blue atom
Lotus ladies greet you in a lucid blue satin

Wrought in seaweed
In Neptune’s blue domain
A marble effigy bedazzles
An inquisitive brain
Latent with wisdom and prophecy
The soul transfiguring Ulysses
Will now Guide you philosophically

We are brought up so mechanically these days, most of us do not question anything and fulfill our robotic roles. This poem uses Greek/Roman mythology to describe a battle with the ego, you must dive deep but it's not that easy.
