Cold Tears

Eyes so wet
Tears slide down my face
I look at the ground
So no one can see
Part of me hopes they do
That they'll see my tears
That start like fire from my eyes
Then turn to ice on my cheeks
With every tear my soul grows colder
Freezing around the edges
The tears finally slow
I get them to stop
But my soul doesn't
It still freezes
Bit by bit
Soon it will be frozen solid
But it'll stop before then
My body will grow cold before my soul
