His Immortal Kiss

My master of death,
kissed me without a single breath.
His icy lips connected with mine,
but I had yet to see the thin line.

I used to be pure in heart,
back when we were apart.
I used to say prayers at night,
now I mostly fight.

When the sun goes down,
I wonder how things will turn around.
I may crave for another's blood,
always biting that sweet spot.

They can always try to run,
for me it's all the more fun.
And even when they cannot hide,
by my rules they have to abide.

My fangs sink into their necks,
how much I love it when they beg.
I was once lost in flames of doubt,
my heart dead I had sought.

In life after death,
my heart I have bet.
Fearing for my second death everyday,
often takes my non-existent breath away.

I hope to find a way to feel alive,
before I have lost all my pride.
Maybe I was always hoping to close my eyes,
while forgeting all these lies.

I was supposed to die only once,
but the years still pass.
My black heart is slowly dying,
my maker's kiss is once again lying.
