Senses Reborn
I have been asleep for a long time
But something in me is stirring
I haven't seen the light of day
So now my eyes are burning
There is so much to take in
My senses become numb
Unable to adjust
My thoughts are just a hum
What once was black
Now is white
An unbelievable;e difference
Over time I regain my sight
But everything is different
My memory did no justice
To what reality is like
No memory will suffice
Relearning everything I thought I knew
With five golden senses
They are alive in me
No longer numb defenses
No longer asleep
I will finally know
How love to keep
And mercy to show
I left the dark
No more isolation
I surrendered to life
And think prolifically
Now in life
I have one job to do
I will tell the world
And awake this in you
But something in me is stirring
I haven't seen the light of day
So now my eyes are burning
There is so much to take in
My senses become numb
Unable to adjust
My thoughts are just a hum
What once was black
Now is white
An unbelievable;e difference
Over time I regain my sight

To what reality is like
No memory will suffice
Relearning everything I thought I knew
