Isolation Reminders.

Fervid glance, an auburn dress...
To match the fever that haunts my dreams...
A smile of autumn, her leaves falling slowly...
And an inch of compassion laying naked before me.

Attraction and lust, they engulf me around,
Beckoning confusion in an ocean of guilt.
For I lay trapped between the restless nights...
The tear-stained pillows and blood-stained knives.

The silence remains.

Scar for a memory, raindrop for my dream...
Isolation reminders fading year after year.
Reminscing upon late choices never made,
Deadening in the winter as their season soon fades.
