Words for a Broken Heart

Poor innocent creature, the way it wonders aimlessly around the grounds of this earth.

Wandering, hoping what it did wrong to deserve this kind of isolation from the feeling it had once, and possibly still does.
The way it seems so joyous on the outside, take a closer look…it’s destroyed in the inside.

So hard to forget, yet so easy to forgive the apologies it received.
What else is there to do, I say move on, though I would understand how hard that can be.

We shall not dwell in the past, for we should be strong, brave, bold, fearless.
Look forward and not back, maybe that way it will be easier to forget.

Seek the light that shines through the thick trees, follow it, for it brings happiness, to the inside and out.
I say dear creature, instead of continuing to hurt yourself by the past, continue and regain yourself in the present, in the future.

Maybe someday you will find that feeling you once had on someone else.
Just follow the light towards the future, unexpectedly, those feelings might be there.
It’s hard to forget, but easy to forgive, what about trying?

Try. Someday you will succeed and be able to ignore the past.
Be strong, be brave, be bold, be fearless.
Please dear creature, turn that frown upside down.
Not only for us, but for yourself.
It won't do you good to continue dwelling, for the one you had feelings for does not dwell.
