Growing Pains

Growing up at first seems fun
After a while you just want to be done
Suddenly the stress of life hits you
Out of nowhere you're 18
You get caught up in the scene
There's nothing "innocent" to do
Waking up late, Getting dressed for your date
What are you going to do with your life?
Go to college, have kids, be a wife?
No, that's not very fun, is it?
Looking in the mirror, you wonder who you are
Where will this path take you?
Will you go out and reach for the stars?
But do you even think you could?
Aren't you just a mediocre teen?
You don't have a job, you can't even clean.
Can you even survive without your mom?
What will you do? At the end you don't even know
Everyone else has it together, oh ho-hum
You're still young, time will grant you the answers
Wont it?
Losing faith while putting your lipstick on
You realize it wont be long
How will you make it? Not even very smart
You cheated your way through high school, can't make a living in art
Doubt fills your head as you get in the car
How did you even manage to get this far?
Stupid girl, you had some luck. It's gone now
So maybe you'll just kill yourself.
