IV-VI: Downy Feathers and Skin Made of Glass

She did her hair up, pretty, and as close to perfect as possible
She put on her favorite, and most beautiful, black dress
Pulled her pale stockings up, and slipped on her soft black shoes
She tied a black ribbon bow around her wrist
And she trialled into the bathroom
She did her makeup...
Painting a black line over each eye lid
Dusting black over her lashes with ease
Brushing her lips a slightly glossed pale pink
Opened the medicine cabinet slowly, ensuring this was what she wanted
Dawned upon pain killers and sleeping pills
She'd be sleeping peacefully when they found her.
She'd no longer feel the pain.
Sound and beautiful atop her silky bed
She opened the bottles and downed each pill
As she walked slowly, silently, to her bedroom
She laid down upon her pillow top, sound, and beautiful,
As she let the darkness consume her.
