Star Gazing

Oh I could sit out here for hours,
How I could stay here for days,
But my misty eyes will soon begin to cower,
As I glance into the starry gaze,

But do I know? How can i care?
For you I've given every stare,
Near waters cold, and a warming heart,
Our eyes are caught, by falling stars,

Oh I wish we were here forever,
How madly could our shiver grow,
You sat with me in deep and chilling weather,
How far away could our sorrow go,

With a shadowy dark sky of night,
We watch the stars in their dance,
I converse about the northern lights,
And you hear as if you're in a trance

I listen as you wish and dream,
Telling of your hearts great cry,
Yet here as we sit beside the stream,
Our cares our focused within the sky
