A Violent Storm

A hot August day brought about a storm
It was wicked, so strong and so violent
But I was sure to see how it was so beautiful
I saw the deeper meaning and it was touching
To me the shield from all the bad was a strike of lightning
Just one look, one touch, so electrifying

There was something hiding, something electrifying
In this hot summer storm
From the corner of your eye, you could see the lightning
You could feel the energy, it was a sense you could only call violent
But you could tell there was something hidden, something touching
So I sat and watched waiting for the beautiful

People only said there was ugly, but I saw the beautiful
It was perfect to watch, the strikes of lightning, electrifying
I was so close but was cautious, I wasn't sure if I should be touching
The winds roared, the sky changed, this was quite a storm
It was so harsh to the land, ripped it all apart, it was so violent
Then you see the faint glow of the lightning

The crackle you hear and the glow of the nearing lighting
This was something I had never seen, but it was beautiful
The trees and the houses were ripped, it was so violent
I felt the buzz, the energy, the strike was so electrifying
I thought everyone knew what was inside this storm
But I knew that somewhere inside, I was the only one it was touching

I was saved by this lighting, this storm that I was touching
I swear, no one else saw the beauty in the lightning
I was in awe of the life changing storm
I didn't know something could be so beautiful
It was perfect, I was energized, and the storm was electrifying
But still the storm roared, it was still so violent

I broke through its walls, though it is still violent
I was the one who changed it, the one that it was touching
The thunder was quieter but the lightning was still electrifying
I had thought it had stopped but you still saw the occasional lightning
But the inside, the eye was so beautiful
I knew that there was something hidden in this storm

It was still so violent and you still saw the lightning
I was the one who chose touching not to shy away from this storm I knew was so beautiful
The outbursts of lighting still were electrifying but I was the calm in the eye of the storm.
