In Heaven There Is No Hell

Beneath the rolling waves
Of an ocean grey and blue
There is a sacred place
I can forget you
Under the burning sun
Of a country so hot
I can indulge
In all that is not
Beyond the flat line
Of a horizon so vast
I am reliving
All that is in the past
Within a world so dark
There is an absence of stars
I am trapped in a cell
Free of windows and iron bars
All the noise around me
The voices in my head
Result in the blood, sweat and tears
I have ever shed.
And slumber I wish would come
If even a light doze
To take me away from reality
And this world that has froze.
Now finally the noise has ceased
Yet the silence is so loud
The voice they are screaming
Floating up to this cloud
Bliss it is here
In heaven there is no hell
As I tumbled off that roof
I knew all would be well.
So mum dry your eyes
And dad crack a smile
Remember the laughter and jokes
That will always be my style
