Mirror

I’m nobody, I’m worth nothing
Not a single face I wear helps me save face from the wear and tear
Of the daily life
Spinning down and out
I’m nobody, but I’ll be someone

It’s a vicious cycle, going out of bounds
Stitch me up and throw me out
I’ll tell me, how to be real
I’ll be fine just knowing how you’ll feel

You know me, I’m worth nothing
I’m nobody, but wait until…

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I might not be the exact same person who I was
Today, today
You’ll never see it coming and you’ll never know when I’m gonna change

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I might not be the exact same person who I was
Today, today
You’ll never see it coming and you’ll never know when I’m gonna change

Tell me something I don’t know
Everyone I claim to be claims I’m just lacking sympathy
From certain people
Who wouldn’t buy my time if I was handing it out for free
‘Cause I’m nobody

And when I look in the mirror, it’s hard to say what I see
Someone else’s stubborn eyes are glaring back at me
I’ll be subtle, you won’t notice a thing
I’ll be fine, I’ve just got a song to sing

I know me, I’m worth nothing
I’m nobody, won’t be something

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I might not be the exact same person who I was
Today, today
You’ll never see it coming and you’ll never know when I’m gonna change

I hope it rains
I hope it rains
I hope the lightning strikes
So we can see the sights
And hurt again
I hope the stars come out
And then we’ll scream and shout
At all those past mistakes
I swore I’d never make!

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I might not be the exact same person who I was
Today, today
You’ll never see it coming and you’ll never know when I’m gonna change

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I might not be the exact same person who I was
Today, today
You’ll never see it coming and you’ll never know when I’m gonna change!

I hope it rains!
I hope it rains!
I hope the lightning strikes!

I hope it pours!
I hope it hails!
I hope the weather changes.

I've had the chorus for this song in my head since 2011 and I've only recently written the rest of it, haha. I wrote it specifically for a band in a story of mine. (It's specifically an Andy song, if you know what I mean.)
