All Hallows Lullaby

On Hallows Eve this lullaby---
The moon croons coldly passing by
With shivers borne on frosty breath
She sings to those whose life is death
(She sings to those whose life is death)

Lay down your head, the moon will rise
Weep the willows, close your eyes
In shadows’ realm it has begun
Sleep; now sleep, ‘Till all is done…

Sleep; now sleep, ‘Till all is done
Sleep; now sleep, it has begun
Slowly red the river runs
As death breathes life to all and one
(Death breathes life to all and one)

In the depths, the darkest place
Bleeds the heart without a face
Torn and sad the child now cries
Alone and lost until he dies…

This is a dark lullaby my friend wrote for me to use in a story I was writing and it turned out awesome! So I asked her if I could post it and she agreed, so now I can share it with everyone. Beware though, it is quite dark in nature and not for children's eyes or ears for that matter. But I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I do!
