My Reflection

Thin sheet that stands before me
Framed in blackened oak
Gazing in upon my face
I see a figure there
The fog, it clears
A simple thing
Stands, before you seeking
To find what it could be
That keeps my heart from breaking
Laid barren in thy wake
A colorful array
My life is now displayed
Clearer it be
The glass before me
Shows fully what I have become
A reflection of pain
Of heartache and sorrow
Hidden behind the smile on my face
I show no one
For it is only a reflection
A mirror of my image upon the pane
