Windswept

Windswept eyes hurtling through oblivion,
She’d take me with her if she could.
And I would follow gladly,
sinking into her deep,
asking no questions.
Only that we come up for air once in a while.

Windswept lips
rush upon me
like the breaking surf.
I rise up to meet them,
eager and hungry.

Windswept tresses wrapped around my finger.
I’m tangled up in you,
lost to the world.

I was born to the breeze…
but I have become Windswept.
