i have a problem that shakes
i have a shaking that is a problem
i have a friend who has a shaking problem

i have shaking problems
and these deleterious things
inside my skull are constantly
bouncing and jittering and
rattling at my brain,
eating away at my spirit

i have a friend who has a shaking problem
and her hands are constantly moving
and her spine always twitches as if
she could feel the world spinning
underneath her feet

i have a friend who has a shaking problem
and i forget to tell her most times that
she is not alone; that she is not the only
one who shakes with fear and anticipation
and love and has a shaking problem

i have a friend who has a shaking problem
and sometimes i shake with fear and
anticipation, wishing the spinning of my thoughts
were just the orbits of the earth
around the sun
and not a million
stars fading against the galaxies

i forget her to tell her the shh-aking
inside my brain hurts too,
even if she can't see for herself.
