Little Girl

You think you've outgrown
These addictive little shows
Acting like a child
And crying all the while
Well let me tell you a story
About a girl who stared off a little worried
She was lost and confused
No matter how hard she wooed
No matter what shoes she wore
She still came in through the door
Bursting and crying
And soon started lying
About the scars on her wrists and legs
When she got older
Her heart got colder
But her mind was all the wiser
She knew not to cry
Now wasn't the time
But each boy had defined her
They all say she's crazy
A little bit hazy
And in bed she was only just fine
Well she started to lose her mind
Getting mad at the things she couldn't find
Lost in this maze that we call life
No intentions of being the housewife
She wandered about
Her friends came in and out
Leaving her alone at her worst
See this little girl felt nothing but cursed
And started to wonder why
She couldn't get out and look at the sky
Without feeling mediocrity
Jaded, kicked out of society
She wandered these desert roads
No sense of direction, only doing the opposite of what she's told.
