King of Tragedies

Well, home is where the heart is
So I find myself alone.
My kingdom formed of fractures-
I claim the Tragic Throne.

My nightmare born of love,
So quickly turned to pain
I fought just to be enough,
Yet I, alone, remain.

All that I loved took pieces from me,
And all that I loved decayed,
No healing in sight, no recovery,
Time will not cause these scars to fade.

So to end the agony,
I destroy the Throne.
To refuse more tragedy,
To soothe crumbling bones,
I depart as I entered-
Empty and alone,
No fortuneless heirs
To the desolate throne.
