It's the color of grass in the fall
Where you first saw his smile
It's the Ferris Wheel lights
As he pulls you close

As you sip coffee together with messy hair
It's the gentle touch at 3 am when you wake up
From a bad dream
The sweet whisper of I love you
Against your ear as if the wind itself had carried the message
It's mother nature pulling you closer to each other
The soft moment of pleasure where his sigh is calming on your neck
Or the look in his eyes as he steals the fear from your palms
The way he holds you as if he never can let you go
The pain in your heart when he does
The ever changing seasons of spring and fall
And as they grow so do you
As they die so do you
But as they are born
So are you in those eyes that you would do anything for
They are flowers on your desk as you kiss him goodnight
The joy you feel when you are back in his arms again
It is soft
It is sweet
Calming like the pitter-patter of a soft rain on a tin roof
