Life Cannot be Predicted

Life is ever-changing,
Shifting with the wind.
As soon as it's beginning,
It can also end.

As piercing as a baby's cries,
And soft as newborn skin,
Existence has its ups and downs,
But mortality will always win.

As crippling as a disease,
And as promising as a cure,
Humanity is like a roller coaster
Filling its passengers with unease.

As ugly as a nightmare,
And as beautiful as a rose
This world is full of discord,
But the presence of God is not rare.

As bright as the sun,
And as expansive as the sky,
The kingdom of Heaven is at hand
And is the home for every lost son.

As melodious as a holy song
And as radiant as a star,
Heaven is the abode of angels in chorus.
All of our loved ones singing along.

A boy in my grade just recently passed away. When something like this happens, it reminds everyone that we are not guaranteed a long life. That thought just has to keep us more positive then negative.
