June 23, 2013 - For Brianna Klotz, R.I.P

Death took her as his own,
Taking her name,
Her touch,
Her heat that came from her body,
Returning with an emptiness,
Coldness when you brushed your finger against her cheek,
Lips pale blue,
Empty hollow shell lying as her corpse,
Pupils no longer warm,
No laughs left in her throat,
No smile placed upon her mouth.

Coldness is left with her,
Buried with her memories,
Six feet under,
We cry,
Say our goodbyes,
And hope for a better tomorrow,
Knowing tomorrow could be worse because you’re no longer here.

This was for my cousin Brianna that passed away on June 23, 2013. I still miss her everyday that passes by and I never got a chance to tell her that.
