Shine

You always remind me
of both the sun and the moon.

You shine your brightest during the day
but you're most beautiful at night.

At night I look at you,
sleeping.
I wait for my sun
to shine again.

And maybe one day
that will all be gone.

My sun will no longer rise
but I will always be waiting.
