We're Just Kids

I guess it's nothing for we're just kids
In 20 years we'll forget all of this

You won't remember how I held your hand
I'll forget how you listen and understand

You won't recall that one great night
Or how we got in that one big fight

I'll forget how you said those words
And how my hand fit perfectly in yours

We won't remember how we said forever
Or how we spent nearly everyday together

Soon I'll forget that crooked white grin
The one I keep playing back in my mind again

And I'm sure you'll forget the color of my eyes
And laying in bed tangled up at night

Yes, the memory of us will soon become dim
For, as they say, we are just kids
