My Augustus

Death is such an odd feeling
I'm spinning, I'm reeling
Just let me go already!
Oh, but wait, I'm not ready

The lights of Heaven blind me
The flames of Hell lick my heel
It's judgement time now
I try to be tough as steel

"Hazel Grace," God looked down at me
He observed from his chair
I'm not quite sure what I thought I'd see
But this was the last thing I thought it'd be

"Know your place," God said
"Hazel Grace."

That was when I saw his face
That's how I knew my place
I ran to him then
Tears shorten my breath

My broken heart has been given justice
For now, oh, now I have my Augustus
