No Gravity

"Can you stay tonight?" She begged with a tint of tears forming around her eyes.

"I can't, you know that" He sighed. She noticed the way he didn't even bother to look at her, as his eyes gazed away from her, beyond her. She saw the way the skin above his eyes raised up in annoyance. She saw that he longer saw her the same way he once had and that terrified her.

"Please stay," She continued to press but he had already gotten up from the bed and was putting on his coat. She stayed in bed and watched his zip up and press each button, one by one in place before she spoke again, "Just 10 more mins!"

He sighed before he rolled his eyes, "I have work to do"

She understood. She knew that he was no longer there anymore. That the man she once loved was gone and that he love he had for her was gone. She shook her head as lowered he head into her pillow as the thought of when did their relationship die took over her head.

He noticed the tears that stained the pillow. He sighed again, "Whats wrong? What did I do? Are you mad that I have work?"

She just shook her head, ashamed to have him see her cry. She knew that he had work to do but she just wanted to feel him love her again - like before.

"I have to go, okay?" He said as he patted her in the back. She nodded and smeared her face on the pillow before she turned and quickly kissed him on the lips before she escaped and said ,"I love you"

He got up muttered an "Me too"

The door closed shut after him and she stared at the white walls that inclosed her. She was sad that he had left and that she was now alone. She was sad that he didn't say it back to her but what killed her the most was that he had not noticed what she already knew.

He had stopped loving her and she did not know if she could ever have him back. But she did not want to let go. But she knew she had to. Yet, she stayed still and stared.

The white walls seemed to ease her mind; they made her forget the pain.

"It's okay" She finally whispered, "It's okay"
