Thunderstorm Girl

Once upon a time there was a girl,
she was one nobody seemed to know.
She was all alone in this great big world,
and this is how the story goes.

She'd stand in the rain when a storm rolled in,
dancing as the lightning struck the ground.
She claimed that the rain was her only friend.
She was only happy when it came around.

When the clouds turned gray, she felt safe.
Like the thunder could keep her from harm.
She believed the wind would blow her to a better place,
and the rain would wash the blood off her arm.

But one day, a thunderstorm blew through,
the raging wind pulled at the girls hair.
She knew of the danger, but she knew she had to,
so the girl still danced without a care.

Lightning cracked and the thunder crashed,
the wind blew throughout the air.
There was a scream as more lightning clashed,
but then there was nothing there.

When the storm rolled on, when the sun shined through,
when the sky turned from gray to red.
There was a body of a girl no one knew,
laying on the ground, dead.
