Torture Realm (The Asylum)

Last night I had a dream
so very clear and vivid
I was locked away
inside a room with no widows
to let in the warmth of the bright sun
my body, constricted
and confined to a stained gurney
abruptly, a rusted steel door flew open
and entered a man
wearing nothing but a surgeon's coat with gloves,
and a beak mask

I came to a panic
trying my hardest to escape
but with every spuirm
with every movement,
the straps on my body grew tighter
leaving me weak
and helpless

he approached me
an unsterile needle in hand
he stroked his had across my forehead
as if to relax me
then he inserted the needle into my neck
injecting the mysterious substance into my jugular vein

I regained consciousness
staring into a bright light
the scent of the room graced my nose
a pungent mix of mold and formaldehyde
I turned my head
and saw the large man
this time accompanied by a nurse
she looked almost inhuman
her face crudely stitched together
she donned a blood stained, holey uniform
her eye sockets empty
with a black substance stained on her face
she held a rusted metal tray
with old surgical tools spead out
instruments big, and small
5 scalpels
1 bone saw
2 pliers (each different sizes)
I was too weak to move
possibly from the sedative that flowed through my veins

It wasn't long before
the dark surgeon started to cut me open with one of the many scalples
at his disposal
both he and the undead nurse, laughing
as he pulled out my organs
I couldn't feel the pain
but the feeling of his fingers inside of my opened up chest
felt so real

one by one
he pulled out each organ
placing each inside of clear jars
just as he was about to pull out my heart
I awoke in a cold sweat
my chest pounding
I pulled the blanket off of my body
hoping it was all just a terrible nightmare
and to my wishes, it was just that
a strong rush of relief came over me
i walked to my closet to grab a new pillow
to replace the other damp one
i opened the door
and i saw that same man
i then knew of what was to follow
