It's Funny Now

It’s funny now when I see you.
I try to hide away;
To fight the pain I’m in, and push on and on through the rain.

To try over, when there is no end.
And the rain pounds down,
Bitter and cold sapping away all my strength,
I wonder in tragic sorrow.

Will I ever find peace?
What will happen?
So for now to hide,
Under that heavy rock seems inviting.

And it’s funny now when I see you.
My heart stops within my chest,
And pure horror fills my soul
And I grieve with my every fiber.

Would you one day think of me?
Remember us fondly, in joy?
The friendship we shared
Was sweet to the bone, now only dust.
