Laying,
waiting for sleep to consume me,
I think of all the things I'll try to accomplish tomorrow.

As the last remaining bits of nightlight peek through my window,
I fantasize about my evolution.

Senses running wild,
I remember the times
when enjoying the cool night, with a warm conversation
was the reward for sleeping all day.

I remember when a smile made me blush,
A wisper gave me chills,
And a touch set me afire.

I remember feeling I love you
before I heard it
followed by bliss,
guilt,
uncertainty,
relief
and hope, in that order.

I'll meet my soulmate tomorrow.

Let's pretend it's the first time.

Scent memory.

Shhhhh, I'm sleeping.
