Alzheimer's

Reaching an age so far down the line,
children and grandchildren always by your side.

However hard you try,
you can't always recall there faces.

They have been there their entire lives and yet,
you're unsure of who they are.

Pictures and movies that play on a computer screen,
give you a glimpse of who they are and who you used to be.

When they leave and you're just left to be,
the movies replay like lost scenes in you head.

Why can't you remember? You lived it all.

This disease takes them from until you have nothing left,
but the lost scenes you keep trying to replay in your head.
