Behind The Wooden Attic Door

Behind the wooden attic door,
Laid memories covered in dust,
Scattered letters and photographs,
Showing bravery, love, and lust.

Behind the wooden attic door,
In a chest locked with a key,
Was the remnants of her fairytale,
Of the knight that set her free.

Behind the wooden attic door,
Was the things that gave her life,
That objects that she often used,
When her world was full of strife.

Behind the wooden attic door,
Was a reminder of the one,
The man who stole her heart away,
Before she realised what he'd done.

Behind the wooden attic door,
Laid the story of her past,
And how the first time that she loved,
Turned out to be her last.
